As startups begin to scale, founder CEOs face two choices
The first choice is to step up and fully embrace their role as CEO, even if they held the title for years. With the organisation’s expansion, the day-to-day responsibilities of a CEO undergo a significant transformation, and the founder truly evolves into a CEO.
The second choice is to step down and recognize that entrusting the business to a different CEO may be preferable. Successfully guiding the company from conception to a stage where another individual can manage it is a testament to success, not failure.

For founder CEOs who need to make a pivotal decision without distractions, I create a personal away day: 48 hours in the countryside without phones, having coaching conversations and meditating until clarity emerges.
